DISCIPLINE AND ANTI RAGGING

The Discipline and Anti-Ragging Cell is in the process of getting established as per the requirement of UGC regulations, which shall work as a moral police of our college. The Cell's responsibility will be to ensure that students maintain discipline in the classrooms and the college campus. Members of the cell would regularly go on rounds to each and every classroom to make note of imperfect behavior and to make sure that the college campus is free from ragging and eve-teasing. The Cell would be empowered to take severe disciplinary action against such students indulging in such disturbing activities. For the purposes of students suggestion boxes would be placed on different sections of the campus to make their complaints on ragging or grievances to express. They may also approach the members of the cell or any of their teachers as is comfortable to them.

Students should note that complaining is a matter of seriousness and therefore they are directed to be responsible while use of this power. Also for the students to feel assured that the college will treat the complaint with sensitivity and confidentiality when once the complaint is made.

Anti-Ragging Committee

Ragging is strictly prohibited inside and outside college campus. The Anti-raging committee constituted for this purpose by the Institute is empowered to take an immediate action against any untoward action and also to counsel the fresher. To enhance familiarity and to acclimatize the fresher to the academic and social environment of the campus, the institute organizes an orientation session in the first week of the new academic calendar.

Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing,  or handling with rudeness any other student, in rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student or asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student.

All the students are hereby informed that ragging is strictly prohibited and it is a cognizable offence under the Indian Penal Code Act. Severe action will be taken against the offenders.
